Why a Self Directed Plan?

Your SMI Self Directed Plan allows you to plan for your retirement and use all the investment advantages allowed under the current tax laws. These include maximizing foreign content and holding a mixture of investments in one easy to manage plan.

Eligible products include mutual funds, GICs and cash. Your plan will be registered with Revenue Canada and we will fulfill all the reporting requirements as required by law. Federal and provincial tax receipts will be issued.

Best of all, you no longer have to deal with a third party when planning your future.

* Fees are charged per plan per calendar year and payable on November 1.
**The Stock/Bonds Custodial Fee is payable in addition to the regular trustee fee.
